Anthem Arizona Homes For Sale

Anthem ArizonaDel Webb (a division of Pulte Homes) "created" Anthem, Arizona in 1999, as a total package of recreation, schools, businesses, medical facilities and housing. At builder close-out sometime in 2007, the community will have about 12,500 homes. Anthem has 4 elementary schools, 2 church complexes, a new state-of-the-art high school, a new library, a medical complex, a shopping mall, and a large commerce park full of business services to create a self-contained community.

A short 20 minute freeway drive north from the more populated Phoenix area, Anthem was built in the middle of the desert nestled between two mountains. It feels secluded, and that adds to the sense of community that is strong here, with many residents reluctant to leave. The Anthem Community Center serves as the central meeting place for classes (adults and children), pool parties, basketball leagues and exercise classes. In the summer, the Big Splash waterpark serves as the place to cool off out-doors.

Anthem Az Real Estate

Anthem is divided into two “communities:” Anthem Parkside and Anthem Country Club. Del Webb originally created the Parkside community for Families and the Anthem Country Club for a low child “density”, and they did this by creating homes with fewer bedrooms in the Country Club and leaving out neighborhood parks. But after building out half the community, they found that a few of the largest homes were big sellers, and planned more lots for these large (3500 – 4500 square feet) homes, which in turn flooded the east side of the club with families. Meanwhile at Parkside, families with children came in droves, but couples and single adults without children moved in as well. The result is that Parkside and Country Club are both mixed with different age groups, and you’ll find families with similar interests in both neighborhoods.

Anthem Arizona offers townhouses, patio homes, single, and two-story homes for almost every price range. Starting in the $240’s, homes range from 2 bedrooms up to 5.
