Anthem Country Club
Hillside, golf and desert views. Luxury homes and Country Club amenities. Seclusion but nearby shopping and restaurants. Life is good at the Anthem Country Club just north of Phoenix, Arizona. Best of all, Anthem Country Club homes don’t carry the higher price tags of the Scottsdale area golf homes, even though they enjoy the same amenities and high quality golf courses.
The Anthem Country Club opened in February of 1999 and includes about 3100 homes, and all are one-story. There are some Anthem spec homes (new homes with no owner) still available with great incentives, but they are expected to be sold within the next few months. The gated community has quiet streets, suitable for a morning walk or run. All homes are one story, and many homes have mountain views, golf course views and views of the Anthem “valley”. Homes in the Anthem Country Club start in the mid $200’s for a small home, up to over a million for a luxury residence.
The Anthem Country Club has two golf courses, Persimmon and Ironwood, each with its own club house, pool, tennis courts, restaurant, bar, workout room and pro shops. Anthem Country Club golf members can play at either course. The club is private, but currently allows non-members to play.
The Persimmon and Ironwood courses were designed by Greg Nash and are managed by Troon Golf, giving members reduced rates at other Troon facilities. The courses are both challenging, and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains for golfers. The course has desert and mountain views; canyon washes; rolling fairways, and multiple tee boxes. Practice facilities are available at both courses, with ranges available for members only. The Anthem Country Club offers women’s and men’s groups and tournaments throughout the year.
Don’t play golf? Golf memberships are not required for Anthem Country Club residents, but you still enjoy the use of the workout facilities, free exercise and aerobic classes and the pool and spa facilities, complete with free towel service and a luxurious locker room. An on-site masseuse, yoga instructor and personal trainer are all available for residents. There is a full tennis program at the club as well, with social match play, tournaments and lessons throughout the year. The Anthem Country Club has several interest groups that meet throughout the year, and residents can also join the many activities at the adjacent Anthem Parkside for all ages.
Enjoy gourmet dining or a casual meal at the Anthem Country Club’s two restaurants. Enjoy a meal after golf play, or dress up for an evening out. Happy hour is big in Anthem on Friday and Saturday and is an excellent way to meet up with your fellow residents and golfers. Both have outdoor dining, with awesome views of the desert, mountains and golf course. Both restaurants require collared shirts for men.
The Anthem Country Club is an all-ages community. You’ll find empty-nesters, families with children of all ages and families without children in the community. Children are welcome and the club has a summer program as well as a golf program for the younger set.
