The Anthem Country Club is a private golf and country club in the heart of the Anthem community in north Phoenix. Blessed with not just one, but 2 courses, members can enjoy 36 holes of varying play as part of their membership. The Persimmon and Ironwood courses were designed by Greg Nash. Both are challenging, and offer beautiful views of the surrounding mountains for golfers. Both courses have desert and mountain views; canyon washes, rolling fairways, and multiple tee boxes. Yes, there is an abundance of water on many holes. Changing elevations, large greens, and broad fairways make both courses very playable, but offer challenges for the advanced golfer. The Persimmon course was the first course to be completed in 1999, and The Ironwood course has 7 water features, and is considered the more difficult of the 2 courses. It also has some of the best mountain views.

Golf members can join the ladies and men’s groups, with twice-weekly golf play. There are several events during the year that include the “Dual in the Desert” member/guest tournament, and the annual club championship tournament.
